PPSMI

When I read the paper a few days back, I was frustrated that PPSMI was going to be taken off the shelves and will be put in the rubbish cans...

PPSMI - english in science & math

Why?Why?Why?

Its not a bad thing...It will make them understand better

The good...
  1. It will make science and math easier to understand - there are all kind of formulas that uses the english language, for example M=mass, h=height and many more...it makes it more easier to remember
  2. Some science and math jargon's that gets translated to bm is just weird - we should familiarize ourselves with the jargon to better compete with the outer world
  3. There are a lot more sources in english, so students will need a better understanding of these subjects in english
  4. The kids are still fresh, so they can still absorb better...Its better to teach them when they're young then when they are too old to learn...the younger the better...
The so called bad...
  1. Teachers don't have a good basis of the english language, thus causing more problems in classes - this shouldn't be a problem...your teachers for god's sake, you should do more better...this problem would not happen if these teachers were taught in english when they were students, right?
  2. Kids from kampungs gain disadvantage from PPSMI - WTF!- to me, they're gaining a whole lot more advantages...PPSMI actually forces them to learn english, isn't that better then them not learning at all? I know for a fact that some places has anti-english individuals...and these individuals are feeding people that they should not learn english because we are on malay land...This is not good...Kids should learn as much as possible...aren't adults responsible for the youth's education?...if you can't understand, then a bring along a dictionary la...
  3. Some people say that we are forgeting more and more of our own mothertongue - WTH! - correct me if I'm wrong here, are we not teaching the other subjects in Malay (like kemahiran hidup, sejarah, geografi and so on)...Is that no enough for you...It's school people!...you need to learn...of course I have come across some malaysian kids that can't speak malay becoz the environment in which they're parents only speak in English to them...its sad, we should do something about those kind of parents...This isn't about the Malaysian identity, its about education
But,everyones got there own opinion...and please don't compare ourselves with countries like Japan - they are able to use nihong go (japanese language) and still be among the frontrunners in technology - that is maily because they themselves make the technology (not by copying other countrie's technology) and they have a full arsenal of already translated books - we are just not there yet...we still depends on others

but thats only my two cents....

Shoppimg Complex

To begin with...There are too many freaking shopping malls in Malaysia

You just need to go to the Bkt Bintang area to see millions of shopping complexes... There is a shopping mall next to another shopping mall...There are even a shopping mall between two shopping malls...haha...Pavillion, Lowyat, Sungei Wang, Imbi Plaza, KL Plaza, Times Square and those are the ones that I can remember...In only one already packed place

Malaysia has too much shopping complex!!

Can't we think of something else to do with the land? A park where we can breath the fresh air (the fresh air of cars passing by..haha) ...or a carpark that only cost rm1 per entry (priority!...haha) or anything laa

Train Service in Malaysia - Komuter Pt 2

First off, I would like to congratulate the management for a job well done...Since last week, the komuter has been running quite smoothly. But there are still some technical problems here and there & they still stop in between stations...I will still give gratitude to where it is due.

There is just a few things that I would like to add though...

This is concerning whenever there is "technical problem" and there is gonna be a delay on the train...These kind of delays will cause the increase of passengers on the platform, and in their minds they are thinking:
  1. "I have to get on this next train or I'll have to wait another 30 minutes" - they have already wasted 30 minutes waiting for the previous "technical problem" train, so if they don't get on the next one, they've just wasted an hour just waiting...
  2. "Screw those old people, I have a life, so I need to go home faster" - people are getting desperate... its the law of the jungle all over again, no one is spared...old people, pregnant women or even handicapped people - you do not want to be around these people (not all la, some are really nice, but against the masses of people rushing to get in the train, there isn't much that you can do)
  3. "I have to cut Qs, to make sure I get a chance to go in" - there will be a lot of Qs. Its like in traffic jams, suddenly a new lane appears out of nowhere...
  4. "I have to get the right moment to get in, where are the hot ladies..." - perverts love crowded places...its so crowded, that you will feel someone rubbing up next to you...so ladies beware!! I recommend ladies to put in a fake penis in their panties, so when the pervert is rubbing against you, let them feel the fake penis...haha...you will be laughing your ass off and gain some extra room...haha
Problems that caused the delay of trains will make problems. What about providing a spare train? Sounds good enough for me...

Movie - Felon

Felon was released in 2008, which depicts life in prison. The movie's main character is Wade Porter (Stephen Dorff) who is thrown into jail for killing two robbers who tried to harm his family. He is then mentored by John Smith (Val Kilmer, who gave a award worthy performance).

"You are just a visitor, this is my world. Till death do us part"
John Smith telling Wade Porter

John Smith is famous for killing the thugs that murdered his family and then he went and killed the family of these thugs. So he is sentenced to life in prison. Prison is his world now. He teaches the new fish Wade Porter about prison politics. Prison is all about race. Rival gangs will forget about their feud and join together as long as they have the same color of skin. Then Wade Porter has to deal with a few conflicts:
  1. the guards who forces him to fight with someone else, so they can bet on him
  2. the mother of his child; who is having problems on the outside and wants a separation
  3. dealing with people from the Aryan Brotherhood
A good movie with a happy ending. Enjoy!
